Martinsville SPCA looking to adopt unique pair of Beagles

THE MARTINSVILLE SPCA IS TRYING TO FIND A HOME FOR A UNIQUE SET OF DOGS. THE TWO DOGS WERE BROUGHT IN TOGETHER AND SEEM TO BE COMPANIONS. Reporter: THIS IS TWITTY A BEAGLE AT THE SPCA. HE’S A SEEING EYE DOG, NOT FOR HUMANS BUT FOR CONWAY, ANOTHER BEAGLE AT THE SPCA THAT HAPPENS TO BE BLIND. CONWAY AND TWITTY ARE ABOUT EIGHT YEARS OLD AND WERE BROUGHT INTO THE SPCA TOGETHER ABOUT ONE MONTH AGO. IS UNKNOWN WHERE THEY WERE LIVING BEFORE. SHE BELIEVES THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE SO HEALTHY AND WELL BEHAVED THEY MAY HAVE BEEN SOMEONE’S PETS AT SOME POINT. SHE HAS WORKED WITH BLIND DOGS BEFORE BUT NEVER TWO THAT SHARE A BOND. THEY WILL CLING TO EACH OTHER. USUALLY IF ONE GOES AWAY, THEY WHINE. EACH AND EVERY WORKER THAT’S HERE, THEY HAVE TOUCHED OUR HEARTS JUST HOW BONDED THEY ARE TO EACH OTHER AND HOW MUCH THEY NEED EACH OTHER. IT WOULD DO THEM SO MUCH GOOD AND MAKE EVERYBODY HAPPY TO SEE THEM GO TO A HOME TOGETHER. SINCE THE DOGS HAVE BROUGHT — WERE BROUGHT IN MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPRESSED INTEREST. WHEN THEY SEE A DOC THAT’S BLIND, THEY ARE STANDOFFISH BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THEY CANNOT SEE. THE SPCA IS CONFIDENT THAT CONWAY AND TWITTY WILL FIND A HOME. WE ARE WAITING ON THE RIGHT PEOPLE. BOTH DOGS HAVE BEEN NEUTERED, VACCINATED AND MICROCHIPS. THEY ARE EVEN GOOD WITH CATS. THEY ARE CUTE. KUDOS TO THE SPCA FOR RECOGNIZING THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER. SOMEONE WILL LOVE THOSE DOGS. MY HUSBAND WILL KILL ME.
