Martinsville SPCA struggling to find homes for puppies dumped in landfill

A MONTH AFTER BEING PUT UP FOR ADOPTION… TWO PUPPIES LEFT AT A SOUTHSIDE LANDFILL ARE STILL IN NEED OF FOREVER HOMES. ACCORDING TO THE MARTINSVILLE HENRY COUNTY S- P-C-A… A FEW PEOPLE HAVE EXPRESSED INTEREST AFTER THEIR PHOTOS WENT VIRAL ON SOCIAL MEDIA… BUT NO ONE HAS ACTUALLY FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION. THE PUPS WERE CLOSE TO DEATH WHEN THEY WERE FOUND IN AUGUST… BUT ARE NOW RECOVERING WELL. THEY ARE STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIERS… COMMONLY KNOWN AS PIT BULLS… WHICH MAY BE WHY THEY’RE NOT GETTING ADOPTED. CATHERINE GUPTON/DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR: “THEY ARE FABULOUS DOGS. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY LOVING. IF YOU DIDN’T HEAR THEIR BACK STORY, YOU WOULDN’T KNOW THAT THEY HAD COME FROM ANYTHING BUT A LOVING, AMAZING HOME.” TO FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN ADOPT THEM… HEAD TO OUR WEBSITE AT WSLS DOT COM.
