Scissoring a poodle’s tail is pretty easy.
We?re going to, Rosie’s got kind of a thin tail, because she’s an older dog. Some poodles
have tails way out to here. But we’re going to scissor it round, you just of brush it
out and fluff comb it out and fluff it up a little bit. Get all the knots and stuff
out of it. And you start off, I like to start off by pulling it all together here, twisty,
twist it like a little twisty tie and slide the scissors through it and that makes for
the round top. And then you brush down, hold the top. Rosie here. And brush down the bottom.
Take your scissors and you go around the bottom like so and then shape up all the stuff that’s
left and you have a nice round tail. When she wags it. Up at the top of the tail here,
if you take your scissors and make a little V when she puts her tail up, you won’t have
all this hair sticking up. And you finish out the little areas that have extra hair.
