partner, what kind of dog should you pick? Well, that depends on the type of running
you like to do. Let’s find out which dog is best for you. Hi, I’m Leroy and I’m Rosie and this is
Animal Facts. Let’s get started. But, before we start, take a moment to like

is the fastest breed of dog and has a natural tendency to run. He’s extremely athletic and makes a great
workout buddy. Greyhounds are known for their work on the
racing track, but they are independent and gentle. Don’t expect him to log a lot of miles though. It’s just not his style. We publish every Monday and Friday. So, hit that notification icon to not miss
a single fact. 9. Pharaoh Hound While he doesn’t need to pound out several
miles a day, the Pharaoh Hound requires the right amount of exercise—and a run certainly
fits the bill. He always wants to run faster and is great
for short brisk runs. He’s a hunting dog, so be aware that he
may want to chase after small animals until he’s trained. 8. Dalmatian The Dalmatian would make a great partner for
fast, long-distance runners. They’re known for their endurance and speed. The Dalmatian is among the best long-distance
dogs, and he loves his exercise. 7. German Wirehaired Pointer The German Wirehaired Pointer has a ton of
energy and a weather-resistant wiry coat, making him a great running partner no matter
the weather conditions. He is a quick, durable runner that has good
top speed but also has the build to sustain high mileage 6. Vizsla Vizslas are extremely athletic. They thrive on hard exercise and being a part
of an active family. He’s a great all-around runner, so he’ll
be with you for long runs through country trails or for sprints on the beach. 5. Labrador Retriever The Labrador is known to be a good well-balanced
dog. Running is no exception. The Labrador Retriever is a fantastic high
energy running buddy. His happy attitude will keep you going no
matter what! Easy to train and extremely loyal, the retriever
will make a great running partner at just about any distance. 4. Border Collie The Border Collie is the perfect choice for
an active person looking for a companion on a long run. He is extremely energetic and needs lots of
exercises. A Competent, well-trained Collie is a joy
to run with and can dart and duck and move with the best of them 3. Alaskan Malamute The Alaskan Malamute is a great jogging or
backpacking partner. These dogs are strong and have tremendous
endurance—they were bred to pull large loads over long distances. This breed won’t be a racing buddy, but
rather a long-distance running companion. He’s not a warm climate dog, however. He’s too chill for that. 2. Siberian Husky Another good long-distance runner is the Siberian
Husky. These dogs would be a perfect partner for
a winter run since their thick double coat keeps them insulated in cold weather. Quick and light on his feet, this working
dog usually enjoys any activity. He’s a very athletic dog that definitely
does best in the colder air, but can hold their own in the spring and fall, too. 1. Endurance: Rhodesian Ridgeback For those of you that don’t live in colder
climates, if you’re a moderate-speed runner, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is a great companion. This breed is active with a lot of stamina,
capable of running at a fair speed for impressive distances. This breed is good in heat so can be a great
running partner in warmer climates. What breed of dog do you run with? Let us know in the comments below. By the time we publish this video we’ll have
